About Sheldon

My wife Cyndi and I were married in Manitoba in May of 1988. I grew up in Manitoba, and Cyndi still bleeds Saskatchewan green. We both gave our lives to Christ when we were young; however, I did not truly follow Christ until after we were married. We have a married daughter, Miranda (Artur), living in Burlington and a son, Tyler, in St. Thomas. 

After serving as an Elder for many years at West London Alliance Church and then attending Redemption London for two years, we have been part of Redemption St. Thomas since the transition from Gospel Fellowship Chapel in 2019. Finding a church family in St. Thomas that teaches the scripture, focusing primarily on Jesus, without apology has been an answer to prayer for us. Knowing Pastor Jake for many years and sitting under his passionate preaching, knowing it is authentic, is a blessing we do not take for granted. We began serving on the greeting team shortly after attending, and I joined the Deacons’ Board in 2022.

I am the General Manager at North Star Windows and Doors and enjoy working with my team to help them achieve their personal and professional goals.

The portion of scripture I find most impactful is when God describes himself in Exodus 34:6-7:

“The LORD passed before him and proclaimed, ‘The LORD, the LORD, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and children’s children, to the third and the fourth generation.‘”
