About Mike

My wife, Rachel, and I were married in February 2014 and have lived here in St. Thomas ever since. We started coming to Redemption Bible Chapel in 2022, and it has now become our home. We were both saved at a young age, but for me, it wasn’t until my late 20s that I had a real desire to pursue God through the reading of his word and prayer.

Two of my siblings and I run Van Pelt’s Business Solutions that was started by my Opa when he moved his entire family from Holland to St. Thomas. My wife runs her own ministry called Hope Through Hard Times. Rachel and I have booth become involved with the church in Kids’ Ministry, Usher, and the men’s and women’s ministries and love being here.

Some hobbies include spending time with my wife, nature hikes with my dog, basketball, pickleball, and reading.
