Created by God, in His image, but suffering under sin’s curse
We are:
- Alienated from God
- Depraved
- Afflicted
- Hell-bound
A soft, subtle, uncertain note of Hope
Genesis 3:15, “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.”

The Effects of Salvation’s Grace
- Our salvation reverses sin’s curse by brining us from alienation to adoption.
- Salvation reverses sin’s curse by bringing us from depravity to desiring God.
- Salvation reverses sin’s curse by brining us from affliction to alignment.
- Salvation reverses sin’s curse by bringing us from being Hell-bound to being headed for Heaven.
Already – but not yet
- You’re adopted, but your intimacy is very interruptible.
- You desire God but not always.
- You’re aligned, but still a struggle + Creation
- You’re headed for Heaven, but you’re not there yet.
